AIRVET project FOCUS GROUP

We are glad to inform that an AIRVET project focus group we recommended was conducted on 30 Sep 2014 and was very fruitful. Among our guests, there were representatives of schools and practical training centres, airports, aerospace companies, consulting and law firms.
The most important conclusions and recommendations voiced by our guests were:
- skill gaps and large discrepancy between employers’ requirements and training offer;
- intensifying practical vocational education is necessary;
- intensifying discussion between industry and education sector is necessary as it would enable schools to adjust their offer and curriculum to employers’ requirements.
The AIRVET project as well as other initiatives connected to technical training will require a lot of work from us. We would like to thank our guests and speakers for taking part in the meeting and lively debate.
